Lanzhou-Chongqing Railway is Officially Put into Operation

Good news, the time from Chengdu to Lhasa by train is shortened.

Since October 12, 2017, the Lanzhou-Chongqing Railway (Chongqing - Nanchong - Guangyuan - Longnan - Lanzhou) was officially put into operation, the Chengdu-Lanzhou Railway was also merged with the Lanzhou-Chongqing Railway at Guangyuan Station after Deyang and Mianyang Station, and the running time of Chengdu-Lanzhou Railway train was shortened from 21 hours to 12 hours.

The previous running time of Chengdu-Lhasa Z322 Train was about 45 hours. The train would reach Xining, the starting point of Qinghai-Tibet Railway, after passing through Baoji and Lanzhou. After the Lanzhou-Chongqing Railway is put into operation, the time from Chengdu to Lanzhou by train will be shortened by about 9 hours, and the time from Chengdu to Lhasa will also be shortened by 9 hours, only taking about 36 hours in total.

The departure time of Z322 Train from Chengdu to Lhasa is adjusted from 14:48 to 21:37, so that the time of Z322 Train arriving at Lanzhou Station is consistent with the previous time. The specific time and stop-over stations after adjustment are as follows:

After the time from Chengdu to Lhasa by Qinghai-Tibet railway train is shortened to 36 hours, more and more tourists from Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou can choose to transfer from Chengdu to Tibet. After the completion of Sichuan-Tibet Railway Construction in the future, the time from Chengdu to Lhasa by train will be further shortened, becoming the fastest starting city for trains to Tibet.
