The departing station in Hong Kong is [Hong Kong West Kowloon], and the terminal station in Guangzhou is [Guangzhou south], between which there are many stop-over stations, including [Futian], [Shenzhen North], [Guangming City], [Humen], [Qingsheng].
The fastest train of the Hong Kong-Guangzhou high-speed railway takes only 47 minutes, since it arrives at Guangzhou South Station directly after departing from Hong Kong, without any stop-over stations. The slowest train takes 1 hour and 11 minutes, since it stops over at all stations except Humen Station.
At present, there are 34 high-speed trains from Hong Kong to Guangzhou, among which 30 are from Hong Kong to terminal station Guangzhou and the rest 4 are from Hong Kong to terminal stations Beijing, Shanghai, Kunming and Changsha respectively, all of which will stop over at Guangzhou South Station.

The high-speed train with the earliest arrival time in Hong Kong is the one departing from Guangzhou South Station at 06:48 a.m. and arriving at Hong Kong West Kowloon Station at 07:43 a.m.
The high-speed train with the latest arrival time is the one from Shanghai Hongqiao to Hong Kong, which departs from Shanghai Hongqiao Station at 14:10 p.m., stops over at Guangzhou South Station at 21:32 p.m. and arrives at Hong Kong West Kowloon Station at 22:28 p.m.
There are many high-speed trains shuttle between Hong Kong and Guangzhou, so it is not likely that tickets will not be available on that day. It is suggested that passengers who need to take Hong Kong-Guangzhou high-speed trains can buy train tickets after arriving at the station. For cross-border passengers who want to change their tickets for high-speed trains running between mainland and Hong Kong, they can only change the tickets once on boarding date, train number and seat class. No refund is allowed for the changed ticket. For example, if you plan to take a high-speed train from Shanghai back to Hong Kong, but tickets for direct trains from Shanghai to Hong Kong have been sold out, and there are still tickets for the train to Guangzhou South Station, you can buy a ticket for this train to arrive at Guangzhou South Station first, in such case, you must get off the train at Guangzhou South Station and transfer to other high-speed trains with tickets to Hong Kong, instead of directly taking the original high-speed train back to Hong Kong, otherwise you may get heavy fines. Since the check-out security check is very strict, don't take any chances.
Although Hong Kong has opened a direct high-speed railway to mainland at present, there are some differences between the ticketing systems of the two places. They are not fully compatible, especially in the aspects of ticket refund, ticket change, etc. It would be more convenient for ticket refund and ticket change in case of paper tickets.
Usually, there are not too many restrictions on luggage weight when taking high-speed trains in mainland. However, there are restrictions on luggage weight for high-speed trains to and from Hong Kong.
