Nyingchi Mainling Airport is in the valley of the Yarlung Zangbo River in Mainling County, about 50km from Bayi Town.

Bayi Town is the administrative center of Nyingchi, and you can take the airport bus to get to Bayi Town via the airport highway. The total length in between is 45km, about an hour’s drive. The scenery along the way is beautiful. If you don’t want to get to Bayi Town via the highway, you can chose the Provincial Road to get there. In spring, you will have the chance to see the peach blossoms along the bank of Nyang River.
