The tents at Everest Base Camp are Tibetan tents pitched up by local Tibetans. In the middle of the tent is a stove for burning cow dung, with a tea table beside it. Tibetan beds are placed along the edge of the tent. Usually, a tent can accommodate 6 to 10 people at the same time, both males and females. The toilet of the tents hotel is in other areas a few meters away, so it is a challenge to go to the toilet in the tents area, especially on cold nights.
The tent can defend cold and keep warm. The stove for burning cow dung can provide adequate heating. Fires usually burn until midnight, and the temperature can be kept at about 20 degrees Celsius in the tent. Tibetan beds are provided with many cotton quilts, so you can choose the number of cotton quilts as needed when sleeping at night.
Food is provided at the tents hotel, usually Tibetan egg noodles and hot buttered tea. The water cannot be boiled due to the high altitude of the Base Camp, so the taste of food will suffer. You can bring your convenient snacks to eat and provide calories such as chocolate if worried about not getting used to the food at the Base Camp.
